Gwinn Fire Damages Home
Fire badly damages a home in Gwinn and keeps crews busy for most of the morning.
The Forsyth Township Police say it happened at 1:30 this morning at 249 Maple Street.
A woman living there heard a smoke alarm go off, and she helped everyone get out safely.
Most of the damage was to the rear of the house, especially the roof.
The exact cause is still unknown.
But the last indications were it may have been electrical.
County Search and Rescue personnel and the Salvation Army provided food and drinks for the firefighters.
They had to stay until 5am.
The blaze lit itself back up at about 6:30, keeping crews there for about another 2 hours.
