Ambulance Rollover Accident
An area patient who was already en route to Marquette General Hospital may be lucky to have not gotten hurt on the way there.
The ambulance that patient was in rolled over on icy roads over the weekend.
The Alger County Sheriff’s Department says it was one of their ambulances.
It happened just before 1am Sunday on M-28 just east of Au Train.
It spun around and crossed the centerline.
Then it rolled onto its side and came to rest in the snow on the opposite shoulder of the road.
Besides the patient, there was a 3-person crew inside.
The driver was the only person hurt, taking a small cut.
Another sheriff’s department ambulance came to the scene and took the patient the rest of the way.
