Detroit Tigers sign Prince Fielder
Multiple media outlets are reporting that the Detroit Tigers have reach an agreement with free agent 1B Prince Fielder on a 9 year, $214 million dollar deal. The Tigers have yet to confirm the deal.
The addition of Fielder into the Tigers lineup will help ease the loss of DH/C Victor Martinez, who tore the ACL in his left knee last week while preparing for the 2012 season.
Last season, the 27-year old Fielder hit .299, hitting 38 home runs and driving in 120 RBIs.
