Sault Ste. Marie man fails to appear in court for trial
Two residents facing drug charges were sentenced in Chippewa County Circuit Court, and one suspect failed to appear in court.
Daniel Pedinelli, 26, did not appear in Chippewa County Circuit Court for his trial that was scheduled to start Wednesday.
He is facing a number of drug charges, including delivery of heroin and conspiracy to deliver heroin.
A bench warrant has since been issued for his arrest.
In a separate case, Morningstar Parish, 24, will spend over two years in state prison after pleading guilty to three meth-related charges, including maintaining a meth lab.
Her co-defendant, Christopher Yon, 30, was sentenced in October and is already serving 9-30 years in prison.
Daniel Hutte, 39, will spend 330 days in jail with credit for three served.
He pled guilty to delivery of a controlled substance, less than 50 grams.
