Lady ‘Cats set to face Cardinals
The Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team is coming off of two wins last week at Grand Valley State and Ferris State. The Wildcats won both of those games by a combined five points.
Wildcats forward Anna Liewen was lost early in the season after she suffered a knee injury. A couple of other reserves have stepped up in Liewen’s absence.
“Annie Rubendunst has had a very, very solid senior season,” said NMU women’s head basketball coach Troy Mattson. “Ally (Matkovich) has played very, very well the last three, four nights.”
“We need people to be able to contribute and do things that Anna was able to do and they’ve done a good job as of late,” Mattson went on to say.
Mattson and the Wildcats play at home tomorrow night vs. Saginaw Valley State. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
