Man charged with felony child abuse
A Marquette man will return to court in February on a felony child abuse charge.
Daniel Lloyd Summers, 43, is accused of third-degree child abuse. The charge involves physical harm to his five-year-old daughter that’s said to have occurred last February.
The Marquette Police say an investigation found documented injuries on the girl after Summers had been watching his children by himself while the mother was out of the house.
Police arrested him without incident last Saturday. Summers has been arraigned in 96th District Court, and he has a preliminary exam scheduled for February 3rd. He is out of jail after posting $1,000 bond.
