MTU’s Luke signs two future Huskies
Two high school seniors have signed on to play basketball for Kevin Luke, the head men’s basketball coach at Michigan Tech. Alex Almquist of Hancock and Sean Clarey of Pewaukee, Wis., have committed to play for the Huskies beginning the 2014-15 season.
Almquist is a 6’7” center at Hancock High School. He is a two-time conference MVP selection. He averaged 21.5 points per game and 11.6 rebounds per game last season for the Bulldogs.
Clarey is a 6’3” guard at Brookfield Academy. He led the state of Wisconsin in scoring last season. Clarey was a second team all-state selection his junior season. He averaged 23 points per game while shooting 51.4 percent from the floor.
