NMU football defeats Wayne State
The Northern Michigan University football team defeated Wayne State, 33-21 on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Superior Dome. It was the second win of the season for NMU. With the win, the Wildcats improved their record to 2-5.
NMU running back Wyatt Jurasin finished the game with 122 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Shaye Brown won a game in just his second collegiate start. Brown completed 19 of his 30 passes for 223 yards and one touchdown.
“I’m extremely happy with how we played today,” said Wildcats Head Coach Chris Ostrowsky after the game. “We needed the win and I have to credit the players, they went out and earned it.”
The Wildcats will play their final home game of the season on Saturday, Nov. 2 against Northwood. Kickoff from the Superior Dome is set for 1 p.m.
