U.P. soccer player earns GLIAC award
Northern Michigan University women’s soccer forward Paula Hafner has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
The freshman scored two goals and two assists in two games against Northwood and Saginaw Valley State. NMU went 2-0-0 in the two-game home stand. In the Wildcats last seven games, Hafner has tallied 11 total points (6 goals and 5 assists). NMU is 4-2-1 over that span.
Hafner and the Wildcats will travel to Ohio for the second game this season later this week, for games against Ohio Dominican on Friday, Oct. 18 and Ashland on Sunday, Oct. 20.
