U.P. Honor Flight program to re-air Sunday

ABC 10 will air an encore presentation of “U.P. Honor Flight: Mission IV” on June 2.

It will air on the station’s Sunday afternoon program, “In Focus”.

More than six dozen Upper Michigan World War II veterans were on the free one-day trip May 1. They flew from the Delta County Airport to Reagan International, were escorted to memorials and landmarks, attended the laying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and returned to a hero’s welcome later that evening.

ABC 10 Reporter Rick Tarsitano went along to document the flight. Tune in to “In Focus” at 12 p.m. EST June 2 to get a closer look at how these veterans were honored as ABC 10 presents “U.P. Honor Flight: Mission IV.”
