Dickinson Co. rollover accident
An Iron Mountain woman was injured in a one-car rollover accident Monday afternoon.
Michigan State Police from the Iron Mountain Post say the accident happened on M-95 in Sagola Township, near Byers Road, shortly after 4:30 p.m. Central time.
A vehicle driven by 77-year-old Ida Nord was traveling south on M-95 when she tried to pass a car.
She then saw that another vehicle was trying to pass her.
Police say she over-corrected, lost control and crossed the centerline.
Her vehicle entered a ditch and rolled over.
Nord was trapped inside the vehicle until the Dickinson County Extraction Unit could get her out.
She was taken to Dickinson Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injures.
Police say that Nord was wearing a seat belt and that alcohol use was not a factor.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, Star Ambulance, Beacon Ambulance and the Sagola Township Fire Department all assisted at the scene.
