NMU players off to NFL rookie camps
After not hearing their names called in the 2013 NFL Draft, it took less than 24 hours for former Northern Michigan University football players Zach Anderson and Jace Daniels to each be invited out to an NFL rookie mini camp.
Daniels will attend the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie mini camp later this week. He will tryout as a guard or center for the Bucs.
Daniels, a native of Escanaba, played left tackle during his days at NMU.
Anderson is off to Cleveland, where he will have a tryout with the Browns at the teams upcoming rookie mini camp. It is expected that Anderson will tryout as a defensive end or an outside linebacker for the Browns.
Like Daniels, Anderson is from the Upper Peninsula. He grew up in Sault Ste. Marie.
