Marquette's McClellan Street Project Update
The City of Marquette issued a press release this afternoon announcing that progress continues with the McClellan Avenue Extension Project.
According to the City of Marquette Director of Planning and Community Development Dennis Stachewicz, “While some activities are slightly ahead of schedule, we still anticipate a September 25th date for the project’s completion.”
Weather may change the schedule, Stachewicz said, and major revisions will be announced.
Crews have completed the excavation work and construction of the sanitary sewer. They expect to finish the establishment of an embankment next week. The next phase of the project is the construction of a stream channel. It was scheduled for April 23-May 1, but has been pushed back until April 26-May 4. Likewise, the installation of culvert footings originally set for April 24-May 1 is now planned for May 4-May 11.
