Brett Set To Play At Finlandia
HANCOCK, Mich. – Sheldon Brett (Comox Valley, British Columbia) has committed to play for the Finlandia University men’s hockey team. He is planning on majoring in Business.
Brett played the last two years at Bryn Athyn. In 2019-20, he scored four goals with 10 assists for 14 points. Brett helped the Lions to have their first winning season in program history.
Head coach Joe Burcar says “Sheldon brings a tremendous amount of experience to our team, his background includes games played in the VIJHL and BCHL junior leagues. We are excited to have Sheldon join our program, school and community.”
Brett scored 59 goals with 83 assists for 142 points over five seasons in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL). In 2016-17, he helped the Campbell River Storm win the Brent Patterson Memorial Trophy. Brett also spent four seasons in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).
