Jeffrey’s Restaurant giving back to service industry families in need

MARQUETTE — A local family restaurant is helping families in the area.

Jeffrey’s Family Restaurant in Marquette is giving back, by collecting food items and gifts for service industry families in need.

While many businesses are dealing with the uncertainty of COVID–19, Jeffrey’s saw an opportunity to spread joy and love during the holiday season.

“It’s just been really really wonderful,” said Jeff Erickson, owner of Jeffrey’s. “I really didn’t think it would be this overwhelming, but it is, because there is such a need. We’re trying to help. That’s all you can do, spread joy and love. In this situation where families are in need, all you can do is try to help, and that’s what we’re trying to do.”

Since launching the project last week, the restaurant has seen an overwhelming amount of support. So far, more than 130 children from 87 families have been helped.

If you would like to contribute, perishable and non–perishable food items are still being accepted.
