Keep your home safe from water damage

As National Preparedness Month comes to an end the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services wants to remind homeowners that standard homeowners insurance policies do not pay for flood or water damage.

In 20199, nearly $40 billion worth of flooding damage occurred in the United States, according to FEMA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
