Marquette Area Public Schools announces following postponements

MARQUETTE — With concerns growing over the Covid–19 virus, Marquette Area Public Schools has announced the following postponements:

• Empty Bowls, March 13th

• Youth Volleyball Tournament, March 14th

• Board of Education Meeting, March 16th

• Cherry Creek Coding Fest, March 17th

• 5th Grade Chili Cook-Off, March 18th

• Solo and Ensemble Fest, March 19th

• One School, One Book Night, March 20th

• Cherry Creek Movie Night, March 20th

• TWIRP Dance, March 21st

• Spotlight on The Arts, March 24th

• High School Academic Awards Night, March 25th.

All large gatherings and events exceeding 100 people will be postponed through March 27th.

The Marquette Senior High School attendance policy and exam exemption incentive will be indefinitely suspended.

Marquette Area Public Schools will comply with recommendations or directives from the State of Michigan or Marquette County Health Department as they are issued.
