NMU moves classes online amidst Covid-19 concerns

MARQUETTE — The big news coming out of Michigan today is the impact of the Coronavirus and how schools are reacting to the pandemic.

Due to the risk of spreading the COVID–19, or the “Coronavirus,” Northern Michigan University has decided to cancel the Wildcat Weekend event planned for March 13th and 14th.

Additionally, all classes and campus events are canceled for Thursday, March 12th and Friday, March 13th.

Face–to–face classes will resume in an online/distance format beginning March 16th, and will continue through April 3rd.

A decision regarding the remainder of the semester will be made by March 30th.

Resident halls, student food services, recreation areas and lab classes will all remain open during this time.
