Male subject arrested after attempting to exchange meth for sex
MARQUETTE — One male subject is in custody in connection to an investigation involving solicitation to commit prostitution in exchange for crystal methamphetamine.
On February 13th, UPSET detectives received responses from the suspect via social media that he was interested in selling crystal methamphetamine in exchange for sex.
A meeting was arranged at a Marquette business, where detectives arrested the suspect. Detectives found crystal methamphetamine on the suspect during the arrest. The suspect had a valid criminal bench warrant on him by the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, for failure to report to jail or pay fines, in relation to a charge of Operating While Impaired- Second Offense.
The subject was lodged in the Marquette County Jail on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver- Crystal Methamphetamine, using a computer to commit a felony, solicitation to commit prostitution, and the aforementioned criminal bench warrant.
The subject’s name is being withheld, pending his arraignment in the 96th District Court in Marquette.
