Man injured after falling asleep at the wheel

SAGOLA TOWNSHIP –A Michigan man was cited for careless driving after falling asleep behind the wheel and causing a rollover crash in Sagola Township.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post were called to the crash Sunday. Police say it happened on M-95 near Floodwood Road. The driver, Henry Sale of Warren, Michigan, admitted to falling asleep while driving.

The vehicle was traveling northbound and ran off the roadway from the east side of the road. The vehicle re-entered the roadway, rolling over numerous times before coming to a stop on the west side of the road.

Warren was transported to Dickinson County Healthcare System by Stay Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, Stay Ambulance, Sagola Fire Department, and LR Vincent Towing all assisted at the scene.
