Vista Theater prepares for first production of the year

NEGAUNEE — The historic Vista Theater in Negaunee is set to debut its first production of 2019 next week.

After weeks of preparation and rehearsal, the Vista Theater is set to open its production of the classic Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, with a cast of all ages.

“We have a cast of about 50,” said director Eliisa Gladwell. “Our youngest cast member is about 6 years old, and I won’t tell you how old our oldest is. But we have a huge variety of people who are going to be gracing our stage, and they’re all equally as talented, and it’s wonderful to be working with such wonderful people.”

The show runs from May 7th to 12th, with $15 tickets for adults, and $10 tickets for students and seniors.

After this show, the theater will have a production of a play called The Brain Trust, which was written by Marquette County veteran Bill Hager, and takes place in the UP.
