Superior Central holding girls basketball camp through Nov. 3rd
EBEN JUNCTION – The high school basketball preseason starts in a month, and in preparation for the new season, Superior Central’s first year head coach, Bobbi Ayotte is holding a fundamental basketball camp.
The camp is open for girls in grades first through fifth, from any school in the Upper Peninsula. Players will be taught the fundamentals of the game, from footwork to shooting, to dribbling.
“It’s all about getting these little kids in the gym, mingling with them, getting them to understand the sport,” said Ayotte. “With girls it’s all about that bonding, it’s all about the connection that these kids can make, not only with coaches, but other kids and athletes.”
The camp runs everyday Saturday until November 3rd, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Superior Central High School.
It’s not too late to sign up. Athletes can register at the door. $25 for an athlete, or $50 dollars family cap.
