Hops on the Harbor set for 3rd event

MANISTIQUE — If you want to get a head start on U.P. beer fests, look no further than Manistique.

This Saturday marks the 3rd Annual Hops on the Harbor at the Manistique Marina. Funds will help the Manistique Elks Club, who would like to keep their historic building in decent shape. The event will feature over 35 beer and cider products from ten different breweries around the Great Lakes State.

“Michigan does the best job when it comes to craft brewing,” said Event Chair Mary Hook. “We’re adding yard games. It typically is a pretty great social event, it’s lots of people coming together to enjoy our Michigan beer and cider. It’s a lot of fun.”

Some of the yard games include yard Yahtzee, cornhole, and foosball. Ray’s BBQ out of Detroit will be in attendance as well. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the gate, and can be purchased at the Elks Lodge, Wheaty’s Pub in Manistique, or online.
