MARQUETTE — State representative Sara Cambensy has settled a lawsuit with LaSalle Enterprises for campaign services.

Back in January, the company sued Cambensy, in addition to Representative Scott Dianda, for allegedly neglecting to pay for the campaign services.

In October 2017, Cambensy paid the company $3,750 for those services, but they allege she owed them $5,690. A panel of three appointed attorneys ruled that Cambensy had paid enough.

In a press release, Cambensy said, “I’m relieved this frivolous lawsuit is over. I felt the amount of money LaSalle Enterprises wanted from me was exorbitant for the short time we worked together and the job tasks they performed. I take the role of protecting my campaign money and the donors who gave to me very seriously, and I’m pleased the amount of $3,750 that I tried to pay LaSalle Enterprises last fall was deemed fair by the judicial system and final.”
