ISHPEMING — It’s National Skilled Care Nursing Week and this year’s theme is Celebrating Life Stories of the Residents.
The Marquette County Medical Care Facility is celebrating by going through the decades, they have a new era and activities everyday to celebrate. They want to make it special for the residents and include all the employees as well.
“This week is just celebrating what we are all here for. It’s really wonderful to see the staff and residents interact between each other and I’m just grateful I can be a part of that, ” said Brooke Bleckler, Education Coordinator.
“It gets our staff to mingle with residents that maybe aren’t on the unit they usually work and we truly believe in continuity of care. Most of the times our staff members are working with a certain set of residents, depending on what type of care they provide,” said Denise Perry, Assistant Director of Nursing.
