Wright Street Reconstruction Project planned to start May 7th

MARQUETTE — The Wright Street Reconstruction Project is planned to start May 7th.

This is a continuing project from last year’s construction season that, due to weather and other unforeseen delays, could not be finished last year. Remaining work consists of concrete placement, lawn restoration, per manent pavement markings and various minor tasks.

Traffic control will consist of lane shifts and flag control. There are no plans to close any of the streets in the area and all work for this project will be completed in three weeks.

The City of Marquette staff would like to remind the public to pay close attention to all traffic control signage, lane divider barrels and cones, and be aware of all construction workers/equipment in the construction zone.  Hebert Construction Company is the general contractor for this project.
