MARQUETTE COUNTY — The Forsyth Township Police and Fire were dispatched to a structure fire last night.

The emergency services were sent to 55 E Riling Lot 27, in Gwinn, on a report of a structure fire. After arriving on the scene officers apprehended a man that was attempting to flee the scene. The man was identified as Brad Michael Overly, 31, of Gwinn.

Upon further investigation the fire was believed to be caused by the production of meth inside the home.

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team was called to the scene and investigated it further. The team uncovered evidence that would prove the fire was started due to meth production.

Overly was lodged at the Marquette County Jail.
