Police confirm missing Eric Olson found dead
SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY — 53-year-old Eric Olson was found dead on Thursday, according to the Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 14th, information was received that a vehicle matching the description of Olson’s vehicle was parked in the Thunder Lake area of Schoolcraft County. Officers responded to the location and found Olson deceased of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Olson was transported to Messier Broullire Funeral Home and then to U.P. Health System-Marquette for an autopsy.
The Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Michigan State Police and The Sault Tribe Police Department.
Olson was first reported missing on Wednesday, December 13th.
