MARQUETTE — On Thanksgiving Day, there will be plenty of restaurants open for business. But at Aubree’s Pizzeria, you’ll be able to eat free. The Marquette eatery will be offering a free Thanksgiving meal to anyone who either cannot afford a meal or can’t spend the day with loved ones.

Aubree’s Bryan French says it’s a great way to bring the community together.

“Well, this was designed to get the community together, and basically, you know neighbors taking care of neighbors. Anybody that’s in need of any kind of a way has a place to come and be thankful for something or whatever they have,” he said.

This tradition began last year, and French hopes to continue displaying the kind values instilled by his father.

“It’s the right thing to do, when the community’s been so good to me, I…I feel like I’ve got to give back,” said French.

The meal will be available from 12 to 4, and will include traditional thanksgiving dishes, at no cost to anyone.
