Spindler commits to Lake Superior State
GLADSTONE — The Braves’ Brad Spindler announced this week on his Twitter account that he has committed to joining Lake Superior State. The senior guard talked about what it was like to be recruited by a GLIAC school.
“The whole recruiting process started at the end of my junior year and I started to get a lot of letters and calls from schools. But with Lake State, it started the summer after they saw me at an AAU tournament at Grand Rapids. Coach talked to me and I was always interested in a school from the GLIAC and LSSU has been good lately. They asked to go on a visit and then I watched a game there a couple weeks ago and it just seems like the right fit,” Spindler said.
I asked Spindler why it was important to him to make this decision before the start of his final year with Gladstone.
“To get it off my chest because it’s a lot with recruiting. I’ve been on visited for the past eight weekends so it’s a lot. And I wanted to have it done by basketball season so I didn’t have to worry about where I was going to visit that weekend, work it out with my schedule and everything. It was nice to get it off my chest,” said Spindler.
Spindler will major in business.
