Fleeing driver turns into cocaine charges
MARQUETTE — Last night at about 12:27 A.M. officers from Marquette tried stopping a vehicle plate violations at the corner of US-41 and McClellan Ave. The vehicle attempted to stop then drove off .
Officers pursued the vehicle starting at W. Baraga Ave. at speeds under 25 MPH. The pursuit ended after the vehicle was cut off at the 600 Block of W. Baraga.
The driver, passengers and vehicle were taken into custody and the driver was identified as 33 year-old Drew Laskowski Wright of Marquette. Wright was arrested for Flee and Elude, Driving with Suspended License, and Posession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver.
The passengers were arrested with possession and all charges are pending.
