Power line taken down by semi truck

NEGAUNEE — A semi-truck damaged a power line at Fox Negaunee Monday. The top of the semi got caught in the wires while exiting the parking lot around 3 p.m. and snapped an electric pole.

There were no injuries reported and the truck drove away after the incident. Fox Negaunee has no power. Some surrounding stoplights are also down.

The City of Negaunee Electric Department is currently working on restoring power. Negaunee City Police and Fire Departments also assisted on the scene.
