FORSYTH TOWNSHIP–On September 11th, the Forsyth township Police department received a complaint from a victim that her credit card had been stolen and used in the Marquette area without her permission. The victim was able to provide a name of a possible suspect who had access to her home.

Police, with information in hand, went to various local merchants and were able to obtain receipts and corresponding in-store videos showing the transactions in question while confirming the identity of the the subject with the victim.

The suspect has been identified as Cassandra Ann Hurrell, age 29, of Gwinn. Forsyth police have since lodged her at the Marquette County jail without incident. The charges against her are: breaking and entering, a 5-year felony, and the illegal use of a financial transaction device, a 4-year felony.

The investigation determined that Hurrell charged over $2,500 on the victim’s credit card.
