MARQUETTE — The man behind a four-day kidnapping and sexual assault spree last month was supposed to appear in federal court Monday, but his hearing was pushed back.

Eric Ruska, 37, is charged with kidnapping in U.S. District Court. He stands accused of kidnapping a 28-year-old woman and sexually assaulting her for days.

Ruska was eventually caught and arrested in Munising by the Michigan State Police. He faces up to life in prison if he’s convicted of the charge.

Ruska is a registered sex offender. He previously was in prison for third degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping.

Ruska will now appear in U.S. District Court August 21st.
