UPDATE: Vehicle involved in hit & run identified

UPDATE — Thursday, May 18th, 2017 6:45 p.m. EDT

The Negaunee Police Department has identified the black Ford truck involved in the hit and run accident Thursday afternoon at Super One Foods. No further information will be released at this time.

NEGAUNEE — Police are currently investigating a hit and run accident at a local grocery store early Thursday afternoon.

Officers from the Negaunee Police Department say they are investigating a hit and run accident that occurred in the parking lot of Super One Foods around 4:30 p.m. A full size, black Ford with a light gray or white lower portion was leaving a parking space when it sideswiped a car parked in the space next to it and fled the scene, traveling west on US-41.

The truck should have damage to the back passenger, middle to lower portion. There is no cap on the truck and the rims are light silver.
