Traffic stop turns into drug bust

IRONWOOD — Two Ironwood residents are facing charges after a traffic stop turned into a drug bust.

Officials from the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team (GIANT) say Michael Bernard Noble, 53, is charged with delivery or manufacture of marijuana and maintaining a drug house, while Travis William Hussey, 44, is charged with possession of meth and delivery or manufacture of marijuana. The two were arrested after police executed a traffic stop on Noble that resulted in GIANT obtaining a search warrant.

The search warrant allowed GIANT to seize meth, a large amount of marijuana, marijuana extracted products such as marijuana butter, and U.S. Currency. Both men are scheduled to appear in Gogebic County District Court for preliminary exams on November 23rd.

GIANT officers would like to thank concerned citizens in the area that take the time to report suspicious activities. For non-emergency situations, citizens can call GIANT with tips and information toll free at 1-855-644-4219 or via e-mail at giantdrugteam@gmail.com. In an emergency, dial 911.
