Plea agreement reached in felonious assault case

ONTONAGON COUNTY — A Watersmeet man arrested on charges of felonious assault and possessing a firearm in the commission of a felony entered a plea agreement Wednesday in Ontonagon County District Court.

Donald Klingman, 62, pleaded guilty to aiming a firearm without malice and improper possession of a firearm in or upon a motor vehicle.

Klingman was arrested by the Michigan State Police last December after police received word that he pointed a gun at someone and was driving recklessly.

He is set to be sentenced on October 3rd.
