Snyder staying out of national politics
ESCANABA — GOP Nominee Donald Trump campaigned Friday in Michigan.
Trump held a rally at The Summit Sports and Ice Complex in Dimondale, which is nine miles away from the state capitol.
On Thursday, we asked Governor Snyder about Trump’s Michigan visit and whether or not he supports the republican contender.
“I’m just not getting involved in the presidential race,” said Gov. Snyder. “I’m focusing on Michigan. We have important races in the house and in the Supreme Court. And we’re the comeback state. I hope people elected me to be the Governor of Michigan, so I’m spending my time doing the best for Michigan.”
According to his website, Trump will spend the weekend campaigning in Virginia, followed by events in Ohio and Texas this week.
