ISHPEMING — Drivers should be keep an eye out for some upcoming traffic changes at the construction zone for the US-41 roundabout in Ishpeming.

Starting Monday, June 20th, Michigan Department of Transportation officials say US-41 traffic will shift to using the north side of the highway. Traffic will be routed through the north half of the new roundabout while work continues on the opposite side.

Second Street will also be closed, with a temporary traffic signal added at Third Street to accommodate the detour. Only right turns to and from Deer Lake Road will be allowed, and the Hickory Street detour will remain in place.

Commuters can expect slight delays, especially during peak traffic periods.
