MARQUETTE — The cases of two men who were arrested in connection to an assault at a Marquette restaurant earlier this year are moving forward.

21 year old David Hunter entered a not guilty plea to aggravated assault in Marquette County District Court this morning. That charge is punishable up to one year incarceration and a one thousand dollar fine.

Hunter’s pretrial conference is set for May 12th.

Twenty–four year old Leon Hall waved his arraignment. Hall is also being charged with one count of aggravated assault. His pretrial conference is set for May fifth.

The two were arrested last week after police investigated an aggravated assault complaint that happened in January at Coco’s restaurant.

Police say the victim of the assault was allegedly pulled or shoved to the ground and kicked in the head by numerous subjects.
