MARQUETTE — Roadside parks in the upper peninsula are officially open.

All thirty–two roadside parks operated by MDOT are now accessible to the public again after being closed since mid–October. Typically, all parks open in mid–April and close in mid–October every year.

Though the parks will be in operation, MDOT reminds motorists that the water will not be turned on until early May. This is to allow annual testing and treatment of the park water systems.
