Hitting the road for the holidays
MARQUETTE — With the Christmas holiday just two days away, many Yoopers are hitting the roads the next couple of days.
Today is one the busiest travel days of the year in the United States. Over 100 million Americans are expected to be traveling today, heading out to spend the long holiday weekend with family and friends.
It was a foggy start to the day across many parts of the U.P. Rain and cloudy skies followed this morning’s weather. While snow isn’t expected to make a big impact tonight into tomorrow, wind will definitely be a factor.
The Copper Country has a high wind advisory through tomorrow morning. High winds are expected to occur in the eastern u.p. and many parts of northern Michigan as well.
