Case of alleged credit card thief headed to Circuit Court
MARQUETTE — A Gwinn woman arrested for allegedly using a stolen credit card is headed to Circuit Court.
Twenty-year old Whitney Wirkula waived her preliminary exam in Marquette County District Court Tuesday morning and was bound over. She also waived her Circuit Court arraignment. Wirkula is charged with larceny in a building and the illegal use or sale of a financial transaction device.
Wirkula was arrested by Marquette City Police last month after an investigation into a stolen credit card being used to make purchases at Marquette businesses and on the internet. Her next court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
