HOUGHTON — Two downstate men have landed them selves in jail on felony drug charges.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department, Houghton City Police Department, and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested a 35 year old Flint man and a 43 year old Detroit man yesterday. Detectives from the three agencies executed a search warrant in Lake Linden. They located and seized over $10,000 in heroin and cocaine along with about $2,000 dollars cash.

The pair were arrested on scene and lodged at the Houghton County Jail. They face charges of distribution of heroin and cocaine and possession with intent to deliver. Names are being withheld pending arraignment and the investigation remains ongoing.
