ISHPEMING — Those looking to grab some deals on books while helping out a local library will have an opportunity to do just that this weekend.

The Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library’s Friends of the Library is holding one of its quarterly book sales this Saturday. Money raised at these special events goes to help fund library programming.

“Their book sales are pretty much made up entirely of donations from the community,” said Library Director Jessica Shirtz. “In addition to just books, they also have all of their Friends merchandise, including the new 2016 calendar and some Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library tote bags, which would be perfect for browsing and loading up with books.”

The event begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs through 4:00 p.m. After noon, thrifty shoppers can fill a grocery bag with books for only three dollars.
