Labor Day Mighty Mac Walk to continue as scheduled despite weather

ST. IGNACE — The ‪Labor Day Mighty Mac Walk‬ is on track to start at 7am. Forecast lightning should pass through in advance of the walk. It’s still going to be wet, though, so dress accordingly. We’ll post any updates as needed.

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain throughout this morning’s Mackinac Bridge Walk, but doesn’t expect lightning to pass through the area after 5 a.m.

The 58th Annual Bridge Walk is expected to continue as scheduled, starting at 7 a.m, But participants are advised to consider the weather conditions and dress accordingly.

Authorities are in contact with the National Weather Service and will issue an advisory should conditions worsen.
