PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — Michigan Tech soccer coach Michelle Jacob, who was a standout student-athlete at UW-Stevens Point from 1998-2001, was inducted into the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Jacob led the Stevens Point women’s soccer team to four consecutive WIAC titles as well as four NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. She earned All-America First Team honors and WIAC Player of the Year recognition as a senior. The midfielder posted 16 goals and 10 assists in her final two years and helped the Pointers to a 74-14-2 mark during her four-year career. She was named to UW-Stevens Points’ Sports Hall of Fame in 2010 and to the WIAC’s all-time women’s soccer team in 2012.

In five years as Michigan Tech’s head women’s soccer coach, Jacob has put together a 53-33-6 overall record with one GLIAC title and two NCAA Division II Tournament appearances.

The WIAC inducts 30 members into its hall of fame every three years. 2015 was just the second induction for the  storied Division III conference; the first was in 2012.
