Several schools to leave the GLIAC
The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, better known as the GLIAC, will soon be getting a huge makeover in the form of a reduction in the number of schools in the conference.
Hillsdale College announced yesterday that it is moving to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in 2017. Hillsdale won’t be the only defectors as Findlay, Walsh, Ohio Dominican and Lake Erie will be heading to the G-MAC as well. The move will be effective on July 1st, 2017.
For the GLIAC, four of those teams were a part of the South Division while Hillsdale was part of the North.
The move reduces the number of teams in the conference from 16 to 11.
