Two drug suspects sentenced in Delta County
ESCANABA — Two Escanaba residents arrested in a major UPSET bust near the end of March were handed sentences Friday in Delta County Circuit Court.
33–year–old Mitchel Lafave, Junior, was sentenced to six months in jail with credit for 79 days served. He will also have to pay $916 in restitution and court costs.
36–year–old John Gray was given four months, with credit for 86 days. He is also required to pay $766 in court costs.
Both men pleaded guilty to delivery of a schedule four controlled substance last month. Altogether, seventeen people were arrested by UPSET detectives as part of an investigation into the sale and distribution of the drug buprenorphine.
