CHIPPEWA COUNTY — Cloverland Electric Cooperative member–consumers in the eastern U.P. should be prepared for a planned power outage overnight.
Cloverland announced that a four–hour power outage will begin at 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd to allow for crews to tie in underground feeder lines to the Eckerman Substation. About 1,270 consumers will be affected in the area between M–28 north to Paradise. This includes the Eckerman, Strongs, Johnson Lake, Piatt Lake, and Tahquemanon Falls areas.
If weather does not permit the work to be done, Cloverland will reschedule the outage for Thursday morning.
